If you ever use computer or familiar with it, you must have known about its components. The basic components of computer set are really recognizable in any type of personal computer. Apart from the system that brings the computer alive, the elements of computer are also hold important role to make your computer usable. Therefore, these are components that build the sophisticated machine.

The first one is monitor. You may see that monitor changes shapes over times. Long time ago you had that fat, bulky, big monitor and in the several past years it had endured the transformation into slimmer shape. Latest monitor is lighter and more portable. However, the only thing that did not changed is its function. You can say that monitor is sort of home for computer. Through the screen you can watch whatever the computer is doing. It displays the activity when you use the computer. Similar to television, the monitor’s size is also measured in inches and it is varied in several size options.

The second basic component in your computer is mouse. Are you certain that the name ‘mouse’ is originated from its mouse-like shape? Well, it doesn’t matter anyway, what does matter is the function of this mouse which is as important as monitor. Mouse is a representation of your hand on the monitor. It moves according to where your hand directs it to. You use it to select items shown on the monitor and also move the text cursor. With this mouse, you will be able to give commands on several items.

Furthermore, keyboard has the function to type in data and commands. When you see the structure and arrangements of the keys, it will remind you to manual typewriter machine. The alphabetical keys are positioned in the center and other extra keys like numbers, arrows, and etc are spread on the right, left, and top side of the alphabetical keys. Basically, if you don’t have mouse or suddenly it is broken, you can give the commands through keyboards but absolutely it will little bit take more time.

Well, the last computer component is printer. If you use the manual typewriter you don’t need printer because you are printing during the typing. But computer needs additional device to print the document on paper. There are two common printer categories which are inkjet and laser. Inkjet is usually used for simple works, it means you only use to print out not more than hundreds of pages a week. Inkjet printer is affordable because it is cheap. On the contrary, laser printer is more expensive than inkjet, but it absolutely performs better. Laser is able to produce good quality print result and it is fast. Also, these both printers provide you with black and color models.
