Microsoft’s Apology for Xbox LIVE Critical Issues

Many Xbox LIVE users are disappointing to learn that there are issues that prevent them from creating new Xbox LIVE accounts, managing their existing account, or recovering their account on a different console. More critically, the issues also related to many users difficulty on making use of Xbox LIVE online services including Xbox.com and Xbox LIVE forums.

Microsoft makes attempts to handle these issues seriously and delivered some service alerts to warn about outages throughout its Xbox LIVE and Zune services. The report also includes the inconvenient fact that Zune marketplace users complained that they failed to access their account or purchase Microsoft Points.

Responding this issue, Microsoft confirmed about the outages addressing the two services and convinced the users that they are working on the problems. The company reported that after the latest outages occurred, it is found out that there is a corrupted DNS configuration happened on September 8 to a mass outage of Hotmail, Office 365, SkyDrive, and MSN.

These problems had caused a large number of people fail in accessing their Hotmail email accounts and messages for about 3 hours on September 8. To be more detail, the identified problems attack many Xbok Live users include inability to run some services such as signing into games for Windows – LIVE on a computer, accessing the Xbox.com official site, posting or viewing entries in the Xbox.com forums, signing into the Xbox LIVE forums, signing into Xbox LIVE from Xbox.com, and searching for web pages that available on Xbox.com

While in Xbox LIVE marketplace, the problems include the difficulty in browsing indie games, browsing the games for windows LIVE marketplace on a PC, and browsing games marketplace from the Xbox 360 console or Xbox.com. Furthermore, the issues of Xbox accounts include the problems on creating new accounts, managing the accounts, or recovering an account on different console.

For this matter, the company expressed a deepest apology and demanded the users to be more patience while the company tries to work the things out and find the best solution.
