Nokia Ovi Maps is Now Absolutely Free

Nowadays, many smartphones are equipped with GPS. GPS is mobile map application included in the phone to search direction that covers many places including the map of many countries, it depends on someone’s location. This digital map is now available in hand wherever and whenever phone users need. One big phone manufacturer, Nokia, has just announced surprising news that Nokia Ovi Map is given for free now. This announcement called “freemium” which means users do not need to spend money to facilitate their phone with this application.

This mobile GPS has freed the charge for the navigation both walking and driving navigation. Ovi Map gives directions for pedestrians covers paths and alleyways. In addition, this GPS allows users to access valuable data from Lonely Planet, Facebook, Michelin, wcities, and Time Out.

Recently, there are 74 countries that will be providing with this GPS. One example is UK, in this country phone users may get pre-loaded map data that is possible to be accessed without accessing it online. This mobile GPS will give full navigations users needed. Furthermore, to anticipate the over usage of data storage memory, Nokia applies all-new hybrid or vector graphic based map data that enables a significant size reduction of data or files.

Ovi Map is recently only available for 10 recent Symbians phones, which means that GPS for the phones that are not listed in the following will be under development. The Symbians phones that are luckily able to make free download of this mobile GPS are: Nokia E72, Nokia E55, Nokia E52, Nokia N97 mini, Nokia X6, Nokia 6730 classic, Nokia 6710 Navigator, Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, Nokia 5800 Navigation Edition, and Nokia 5230.

In addition, Nokia stated that N900 users and other Nokia GPS-enabled phones should be waiting for the later development of this mobile GPS. (fallen)
